Verizon Wireless to Offer Palm Pre Early Next Year?

Here's an update that Verizon Wireless subscribers might like. Verizon Wireless execs confirmed they plan to carry the Pre “early next year” during the company's quarterly financial conference call.

Verizon Wireless execs were discussing the company's struggle during the current recession. Big Red has reportedly lost 21 percent in profits and is planning to cut 8,000 in the second half of this year.

Is there any truth to this rumors? Well, there's no doubt that the Palm Pre can help Verizon Wireless with its troubles. The Pre is an attractive device and will help the carrier to keep its customers and attract new ones.

However, the issue of Sprint's exclusive rights to the Pre is the key issue. If this exclusive handset deal is not extended next year, then we might see Verizon Wireless selling the Palm Pre.
