Verizon Tweets Plan to Sell Palm Pre Next Year

It appears that talks of the Palm Pre being sold via Verizon has raged once again. This time the source of the talks comes from Tweeter.

Verizon's official Tweeter account has stated that:

"We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year."

Interestingly, this claim does not specify the month when the Verizon Palm Pre will be available. Previous sources indicate that it will be out in January 2010.

Well, it appears that Sprint's exclusive contract to sell the Palm Pre is the only thing that keeps Verizon away from selling the first webOS device.
