Palm Releases webOS 1.1.0 update for the Pre

That rumor on Palm releasing a major webOS update for the Pre turned out to be on the money. Users can now get the webOS 1.1.0 update for the Palm Pre.

The early info on the details of the webOS 1.1.0 update for the Palm Pre was also true. However, Palm and Sprint added a few nice additions.

webOS 1.1.0 provides emoticons, Exchange support but it also provides an answer to the issue preventing Palm Pre media sync from working with latest version of iTunes. It'll be interesting to see how Apple responds to this move.

Other fixes and improvements offered by this software update includes changes to the calendar, camera, clock, contacts, email, messaging, phone, system software and web browser. American football fans will also be glad to know that the NFL Mobile Live app that allows users to watch games and audio from the device is also included in this update.
