Palm Pre Web Traffic

We have not heard a lot about the Palm Pre lately but it appears that mobile phone users are still interested in the highly anticipated Sprint exclusive Smartphone. Unique visitors to Pre pages in Sprint and Palm's website have remained consistent despite the relative lack of news on the webOS Smartphone. Traffic peaked at 400,000 during the Palm Pre's introduction at CES but has remained steady despite the lack of a solid release date.

Interestingly, the same traffic pattern has been observed during the the launch of the original iPhone in January 2007. The numbers are higher for the iPhone but the similarity between the traffic patterns suggest that the Palm Pre will have a successful launch. Consistent promotion on Palm and Sprint’s websites should help to preserve the mobile phone consumers' interest in the Palm Pre.
