Palm Pre: A Top Twitter Phone?

Recent Palm Pre ads from Sprint indicate that the company envisions the webOS device to be one of the best mobile Twitter devices.
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service allows users to send and read other users' updates. This service is also offered on many handsets including the iPhone.
Some observers expressed that this is a good strategy from Sprint. Twitter is immensely popular with more than 55 million visitors each month. The Palm Pre also appears to be tailored-made for Twitter.
According to the folks at PreCentral.net, The Palm Pre is suitable for Twitter because:
- It has a real, physical keyboard
- it has non-intrusive notifications that can be pushed out by the Mojo Messaging Service
- a Twitter app on the Pre can utilize multiple cards within the same app for following friends, checking replies and direct messages, following hashcodes, etc.
- The SDK uses HTML, Ajax, and Javascript with fairly deep access to the OS.
We'll be looking foward to the Twitters apps for webOS. We hope that it will be competitive to existing Twitter apps for other platforms.
