Palm Pre Spotted in China!

Mobile phones that are about to be released in the market usually pop up in random places. This seems to be the case with the Palm Pre. A few days ago images of the Palm Pre being handled by teens during a wacky San Francisco festival surfaced on the web. This time, it seems that the Palm Pre has made an appearance in China.

The folks at a Chinese firm named Ludle have somehow obtained a Palm Pre. A staff member of of the firm has apparently taken a comparison photo of the Palm Pre with the Centro and iPhone 3G. He also described the Pre as having good resistance against scratches.

The Ludle staff member mentioned that Palm Pre is currently in mass production but this model may not be the version headed for Sprint.

However, some observers say that the Palm Pre in the image is fake because it's home button is black instead of silver.

What do you think? Is this an indicator that the Palm Pre is headed for an imminent release or simply another hoax?
