Palm Pre Latest News: Screen Cracks Surface

Cracked screens are one of the most common complaints when it comes to touchscreen phones. Unfortunately, the same problem has been reported by some Palm Pre users. Apparently, there have been reports of screen cracks originating from the center button, and then spider-webbing up the webOS device.

Fortunately, it appears that Sprint is dealing with with these problems. Users with cracked Palm Pre screens are getting  replacement devices without having to go through the TEP or paying any deductible.

It is also important to note that most of the users who have reported the cracked screens have not dropped the device. Some have stated that just they merely pull the device out of their pocket only to see the massive crack.

I think Palm Pre users should take extra care of their device to avoid this problem. The screen appears to be a problem area. First we had splotches and discolorations and now a more serious problems with cracking.
