The Palm Pre Lands in the UK
The webOS invasion of the UK has begun. The Palm Pre will be available at O2 stores for free with an 18-month tariff of £44.05 ($71) per month.
It appears that O2 is offering some great promos to market the first webOS device. For instance, the first 10 people in line to purchase the Palm Pre will receive a free Touchstone Charging kit. It's an attractive offer considering that the accessory is being sold for 46 Euros or $70.00 here in the U.S.
A launch party for the Pre was also held with the involvement of celebrities like Mathew Home, Mr. Hudson, Rachel Stevens, Alphabeat, and Mel B.
The service provider is offering a variety of plans for the handset, all of which includes unlimited data.
It's great to see the Palm Pre and webOS succeed in other areas. Let's hope that it makes an impact on the smartphone market.
