Palm Fixing Hardware and Build Problems on the Pre
We've posted several times about the build problems and faulty hardware on the Palm Pre. Well, it appears that Palm is discreetly fixing hardware and build problems.
For instance, Palm has added a gray foam to the battery compartment which tightens up the battery connection to prevent instances where the smartphone resets or turns off when the keyboard was closed. This fix apparently tightens up the battery connection of the Palm Pre.
Reports also indicate that Palm also installed fixes to the screen cracking and unintended rotation issues on the new units.Let's see if the reports on hardware problems decrease with these fixes.
Other changes to the Palm Pre include a color change to the button color, a new battery model, and the maker's logo is now embossed on the carrying case.
This is great news but there no official confirmation on these Palm Pre fixes. Never the less, it's good to see Palm exert some efforts to address the Palm Pre complaints.
