Palm Eos webOS Smartphone Coming in October?
Conflicting rumors on the second webOS device has circulated the web in recent days. One analyst has reported that the Palm Eos or Pixie will arrive in 2010. Another source has reported that a GSM/HSPA version of the device will land in October.
The folks at Digitimes have reported that volume shipments of the Palm Eos will start shipping in October. Around 400,000 to 500,00 units are rumored to be shipped in the fourth quarter. This GSM/HSPA version of the Palm Eos is also being rumored to be heading for AT&T.
However, an earlier report said that the second webOS device may be delayed until 2010. The delay is said to be cause by preparations to pit the device against the cheap iPhone 3G.
These rumors are all unconfirmed and originate from dubious sources so taking them with a grain of salt is highly recommended.
