Palm Dumps Windows Mobile in Favor of webOS

It appears that Palm is fully committed to the webOS platform. Palm has announced that it will no longer manufacture and sell smartphones based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating platform.
Here's a statement from Palm CEO John Rubenstein:
"Due to importance of webOS to our overall strategy, we've made the decision to dedicate all future development resources to the evolution of webOS. Which means that going forward, our roadmap will include only Palm webOS-based devices."
The Windows 6.5 is set to be released next month and I was wondering if Palm will be a part of it. Well, this answers it. No more WinMo from Palm.
Rubenstein also revealed that the company will continue to develop and improve the webOS platform. System updates will also be pushed out via the Internet.
