Palm App Catalog Now Offering Paid Applications
Palm Pre users can now purchase apps from the the App Catalog. Of course, there are also some nice free apps that can be downloaded to your webOS phone free of charge.
However, the arrival of paid products in the Palm App Catalog has not been smooth. The products were taken down momentarily due to a critical security bug. Fortunately, the issue was addressed and the apps are back.
Palm also issued an important announcement regarding webOS apps. Developers will be able to submit applications that can be distributed openly on the web rather than through the Palm Apps Catalog.
WebOS developers will submit the software to Palm and then the company will send link that users can use to access and download the application.
