Here's an update that Verizon Wireless subscribers might like. Verizon Wireless execs confirmed they plan to carry the Pre “early next year” during the company's quarterly financial conference call.

That rumor on Palm releasing a major webOS update for the Pre turned out to be on the money. Users can now get the webOS 1.1.0 update for the Palm Pre.

The Sprint website is now selling the Palm Pre indicating that the carrier's inventory has reached a supply-demand stabilization point. The Palm Pre is now live online for $199 after $100 mail in rebate and a 2 year contract.

If recent rumors are to be believed, then the number of Palm Pre units being sold are going down. According to a JNK wireless consultant, the Pre sales have dropped to and stabilized around 22,000 - 25,000 units a week.
