2.5 million Palm App Catalog Downloads!

The impressive run of the Palm App Catalog continues. The app store for webOS devices has achieved 2.5 million downloads despite offering a limited number of applications.

We've blogged about the Palm App Catalog reaching the 1 million downloads mark. This trend is expected to continue and will even rise once the Pre hits other carriers and more apps become officially available.

The PreDevCamp also kicked off last August *, which is a great way of bringing more webOS apps. This event is a not-for-profit gathering to develop applications for Palm Pre using both the Mojo SDK and traditional web standards.

Attendees to the PreDevCamp will be able to:

  • Create new applications for the Palm Pre.
  • Migrate existing mobile and Linux based applications to the Palm Pre.
  • Test and optimize applications for the Palm Pre.
