1 Million Downloads for Palm Pre Apps

A few days ago, I blogged that more than 700,000 Palm Pre apps have been downloaded. Well, the number of downloads has reached the 1 million mark.

Eighteen days after the Palm Pre entered the US market, a total of 1,015,038 Palm Pre apps have been downloaded. An impressive number indeed for a catalog that only features 30 applications.

This numbers indicate that each palm Pre unit downloaded an average of about seven applications. Estimates indicate that there are about 150,00 Palm Pre units in the hands of the users so the number of downloads is bound to increase once new shipments arrive.

The anticipated release of the webOS SDK is also expected to bolster the limited offerings of the Palm App Catalog.
